I ❤️ PRIO and Instituto Ziraldo celebrate the artist’s legacy at ArtRio 2024. A giant panel with illustrations by O Menino Maluquinho and Flicts connected the public to Brazilian cultural heritage.

PRIO Paralympic Team
PRIO is a sponsor of the project that created a Paralympic team with prominent practitioners of the main sports, through the sports incentive law, with annual renewal until the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The PRIO Paralympic Team has eleven athletes from different modalities.

PRIO is the Master Sponsor of the Rio Winter Festival, which has established itself as one of the city’s main musical events. The festival, which takes place in Marina da Glória, features 18 shows by Brazilian artists and bands from different musical genres, as well as DJs, over six days of event and 60 hours of music.

For more than 15 years, Fronteiras do Pensamento has brought together influential thinkers in conference cycles to debate intriguing current topics. In 2023, the event was presented by PRIO. We bring together the most diverse points of view from renowned philosophers, artists, scientists, social actors and political leaders in more than 500 hours of exclusive and free content.

The Mundo Zira exhibition paid homage to the artist Ziraldo, a great icon of Brazilian culture. With an interactive and sensorial experience, the exhibition explored Flicts and Menino Maluquinho, inviting the public to the artist’s creative and enchanting universe.

The PRIO Humor award is aimed at the best humor artists and theatrical shows in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Its objectives are to recognize and reward comedy projects and professionals, encourage the constant qualification of professionals and shows of the genre and rescue and publicize the memory of humor in Brazil.

PRIO is a long-time partner of Instituto Reação, an NGO founded by Olympic medalist judoka Flavio Canto, which promotes human development, social integration and inclusion through sport and education, promoting judo from sporting initiation to high performance.

Rio Marathon
The 2024 Rio Marathon, the biggest running festival in Latin America, took I ❤Prio naming rights to the 5 km route. The partnership reinforces Prio’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and valuing sport as a way to inspire personal and collective transformations.

Favela Brass
Favela Brass is another project sponsored by PRIO. Since 2014, he has promoted social transformation and cultural inclusion through a free, quality musical education program for children and young people in the favelas and public schools of Rio de Janeiro.

Instituto Todos na Luta
PRIO is a sponsor of the Todos na Luta Institute, founded by boxing professor Raff Giglio and offers health, well-being and inclusion alternatives to young people in socially vulnerable situations in the Vidigal community, in Rio de Janeiro, through sport and of education.

Offshore Reaction – Talent Academy
The project is the result of a partnership between Instituto Reação and Instituto Todos na Luta. With the support of PRIO and Firjan SENAI, thousands of people have access to a unique and innovative educational program in the oil and gas sector and the chance to leave the course employed.

PRIO Corporate Forest
In 2022, PRIO entered into a partnership with the NGO Saving the Amazon, with the purpose of creating its own “corporate forest”. The company celebrated Arbor Day, on September 21, by donating more than 800 native Amazonian tree seedlings for planting in the Tukuna Umariaçu indigenous reserve, in the state of Amazonas.

TAC Frade
In 2019, PRIO took over Campo de Frade and, consequently, its respective TAC, whose strategic objectives are: the conservation of biodiversity on the coast; the sustainable use of fishing resources; strengthening artisanal fishing and environmental education.

Community-Based Tourism Subprojects
To boost Community-Based Tourism (TBC), in 2022 six projects with this aim were approved, together with fishing communities, with a total investment of R$3 million. These actions include nature conservation, solidarity economy, protection of cultural heritage and, mainly, the protagonism of local communities.

Environmental Education
In 2022, the Environmental Education Project implemented more than 35 projects developed by PRIO with the aim of promoting the conservation of biodiversity in the coastal and marine zone of the state of Rio de Janeiro, the sustainable use of fishing resources and the strengthening of artisanal fishing as a strategy long term.

Mangrove subproject
With an investment of R$7 million, this subproject promotes conservation and sustainable use in mangrove areas in the state of Rio de Janeiro, through support for the implementation of research projects and/or projects that are relevant to the fishing production chain and for the social well-being of traditional communities.

Porpoise Conservation
The project is aligned with the guidelines of the National Action Plan (PAN) for the Conservation of Porpoise, the most threatened coastal dolphin in Brazil, and supports research into the animal’s ecology and its accidental mortality due to fishing activities on the Brazilian coast.

Marine and Fisheries Research
With an investment of approximately R$54 million, the project is an important ally in the search for new information related to fishing and the marine environment in Rio de Janeiro.

Support for Conservation and Sustainable Use
The project proposes the structure of seven UCs on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro and includes actions such as the elaboration of management plans, organizational strengthening, training of local artisanal fishermen, signage and support for the visitation structure and the operation of the units. The investment has already reached approximately R$25 million.

Vegetable Gardens at Sea
We planted vegetable gardens in our offshore units to create a space for coexistence and exchange among our employees and raise awareness among the team about the importance of reconnecting with nature.

Environmental Education Project (PEA) Observation Network
The PEA Observation Network in nine municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro and two in Espírito Santo, in the Campos Basin region, offering training in popular education to qualify vulnerable subjects in public environmental management.
