PRIO strengthens its presence in Espírito Santo with Wahoo and Vitória PetroShow

PRIO reaffirms its commitment to the development of Espírito Santo with an active presence at a week of significant events for the sector. The company is participating in the launch of the 8th edition of the Oil and Natural Gas Industry Yearbook by Findes and the Vitória PetroShow 2025, while continuing to focus on the start of activities in the Wahoo field.

Ibama’s authorization to drill the Wahoo wells represents a crucial step towards increasing oil and gas production in Brazil. The project, which involves interconnecting the wells to the FPSO Frade, stands out for its innovation and potential for efficiency, with an estimated peak production of 40,000 barrels of oil per day. PRIO places great importance on every stage of this project, which will engage hundreds of people and companies during its implementation and is expected to generate over R$ 4 billion in royalties for the state and the federal government.  

“The start of drilling at Wahoo is an important milestone in our journey. We are committed to developing this project with excellence, generating value for our stakeholders and for society,” says Francilmar Fernandes, PRIO’s Chief Operating Officer. “Events like Findes and Vitória PetroShow are fundamental for strengthening partnerships and discussing the future of the sector,” he adds.

Highlights of PRIO’s participation

Francilmar Fernandes will take part in the launch of the 8th Oil and Natural Gas Industry Yearbook in Espírito Santo by Findes, on April 8, at 9:30 a.m., and will share the company’s vision of the sector’s scenario in the state.
