Caring for
people is at
the heart of
what we do

Our focus is
on the people
who build PRIO
every day

People’s safety is one of PRIO’s core principles. All our professionals share the responsibility of disseminating the safety culture and ensuring that all daily activities comply with the high standards of the national and international regulations adopted.

Safety is not just
a guideline at PRIO.
It is culture, it is practice, it is commitment.

Based on the high standards of international standards adapted to PRIO’s specific routines, we have developed the Safety Principles, which are designed to help everyone to keep themselves and their colleagues safe. They must be followed before any work begins, fostering operational discipline, raising awareness and defining safe working standards.

Learn about PRIO’s Safety Principles:

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

The proper use of PPE is your last barrier of protection. Please always inspect and look after your equipment.

Cargo Handling

Plan before moving loads and make sure the conditions are adequate. Never stand under suspended loads.

Safe Positioning

Stay out of the “line of fire” and avoid risk areas.

Work Permit

Make sure your work is authorized and the risks have been assessed.

Energy Isolation Procedure

Ensure that all energy sources have been locked out before starting an activity.

Confined Space

Always obtain authorization before entering confined spaces. Have adequate protective and rescue equipment.

Work at Height

Use fall protection and inspect your equipment before use.

Falling Objects

Carry out inspections and prevent objects from falling.

Hot Work

Control ignition sources and flammable products. Carry out a gas test before starting work.

Stop Work Authority

Everyone has the authority to stop unsafe activities.

Safety Controls

Do not violate safety barriers and respect procedures.

here are two
basic rules that everyone should
know and put into
practice daily:

These guidelines promote operational discipline, raising awareness and setting the standard for our professional and safe working culture.

Everyone is
responsible for
making PRIO
a safer company

Increasingly, our Board of Directors, senior leadership, and especially our frontline employees, have been actively involved in safety discussions and initiatives.

New overalls (PPE):
more protection, comfort and sustainability

In 2025, we launched a new overall that is part of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of our offshore teams. The main innovation is the high resistance to fire: the material offers greater protection against burns.

Sustainability is also present in every detail: the overall does not emit toxic fumes in the event of burning and uses only 1/10 of the water in the manufacturing process compared to conventional models.

In addition to reinforced protection, the garment provides greater thermal comfort, more malleability and freedom of movement during operation, with a weight 30% lower than the current standard in the oil and gas sector. Another highlight is the new color: orange gives way to fluorescent yellow, significantly increasing visibility in low-light environments.

Commitment
that starts with leading by example

Living a culture of safety on a daily basis also means creating moments of pause, reflection and assessment of our practices with the whole team. In 2024, we promoted another edition of Safety Month, a campaign that traditionally takes place in April and collaboratively reinforces our commitment.

Check out how the campaign went this year:

Knowledge
is the basis for
a solid
culture

Throughout our history, we have logged more than 112,000 hours dedicated to occupational safety training — a reflection of our ongoing commitment to protecting all employees.

Safety
is value,
belonging and
results

Currently, 91% of our employees are PRIO shareholders. Aiming to reinforce our commitment to safety, we have included the topic among the variable remuneration targets for all levels of the company.

Occupational health:
prevention, care
and action

We carry out occupational medical examinations and, when necessary, draw up personalized therapeutic plans to promote quality of life at work.

We continuously monitor the health of our employees, according to the risks of their activities, based on the Occupational Health Medical Control Program.

On vessels, care is even closer: we have nursing professionals trained to assist crew members and respond quickly to situations related to the risks of offshore operations.

Strengthening
care for
the people who
make up PRIO

At PRIO, we believe that health and well-being go far beyond the workplace. They are an essential part of our culture and the way we care for people. Here, we invest in initiatives that foster quality of life, physical and emotional balance, and a healthier environment for all our employees.
