Over 300 people, including students, teachers and family members from 23 public schools in five states, took part in the second edition of Vini Day, the annual event promoted by the Instituto Vini Jr. with the support of PRIO, its main sponsor. Held at the I❤PRIO Theater in Rio de Janeiro, the meeting brought together a program dedicated to education and culture, also marked by the presence of the soccer player Vini Jr., who talked to the students and shared part of his trajectory.

The event reinforces the power of education as a tool for social transformation and demonstrates the oil company’s commitment to generating a real and positive impact on the lives of thousands of children and their families. “PRIO is with us every day, with workshops, materials, books and a lot of presence. This partnership has a direct impact on schools,” explains Victor Oliveira, the Institute’s executive manager.

During the special program, the PRIO Orchestra was launched – a mix of experienced musicians and young people from social projects. The initiative will benefit 45 musicians with scholarships, rehearsals and technical lessons over 12 months. During this period, it will have a routine of 30 hours of rehearsals a week. With artistic direction from conductor Carlos Prazeres, the orchestra will explore a repertoire that ranges from classical to popular music, promoting artistic development and new prospects for the participants.

In a conversation between the children and Vini Jr., the athlete stressed the importance of studying. “School is just as important as soccer. To make dreams come true, studying is the right way and we’re happy that we’ll have our first school launched next year, helping so many children,” said the player.

Operating nationwide, Instituto Vini Jr. serves over 7,000 students and 800 teachers with its own methodology based on three pillars: public education, gamification with the language of soccer and anti-racist education workshops.
