The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (“ANP”) authorized today the resumption of production of the FPSO Peregrino, operated by Equinor. The authorization was granted through an official letter sent by the Operational Safety Superintendency of ANP to the consortium companies of the assets, including PRIO.

The operation will resume immediately. “The decision allows us to resume full production capacity and continue generating value for our shareholders,” says Roberto Monteiro, CEO of PRIO.

PRIO reaffirms its commitment to operational safety and excellence in the management of its assets, working closely with regulatory authorities and its partners to ensure compliance and sustainability of its operations.

In May of this year, PRIO completed the acquisition of 100% of the Peregrino and Pitangola fields by purchasing the remaining 60% that belonged to Equinor. Completion of the operations is expected to occur between the end of 2025 and mid-2026, subject to approvals from the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). Discovered in 1994, the Peregrino field produced its first oil in 2011 and is located 85 kilometers off the coast, in the Campos Basin, in blocks BM-C-7 and BM-C-47, and 28 kilometers from the Polvo and Tubarão Martelo Cluster.
