Flávio Canto is the new PRIO ambassador
Judoka, Olympic medalist, and presenter Flávio Canto is the newest PRIO ambassador.
Considered the largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil, with its activities concentrated in Rio de Janeiro, PRIO has supported the Reação Institute since 2017, contributing to the training for sports of more than two thousand youth and children.
As an ambassador, Flávio Canto becomes the company’s spokesperson for investments in sports and social actions.
“Like PRIO, Flávio is an example of strength, dynamism, and believes in sports as a way to transform society. He is a person who reflects the values of our brand, such as resilience, overcoming, innovation, creativity, efficiency, and the constant search for results,” explained PRIO’s CEO, Roberto Monteiro.
PRIO is also the sponsor of Olympic Champion Rafaela Silva, who started her training at Reação Institute and became the only Brazilian woman with a world and Olympic title in Judo.
It was through the Reação Institute that PRIO made possible the donation of more than 200,000 reais in food baskets distributed to communities in Rio de Janeiro at the end of the year 2020, when the pandemic of COVID -19 in Brazil worsened.
“The proposal is to use the sport as an educational and social transformation instrument, training black belts on and off the tatami. Sport is a way to build and work on the formation of a person’s values. In Judo there is a principle called Seiryoku Zenyo, which in free translation would be: minimum strength for maximum efficiency. The search for operational efficiency, results, and high performance are part of PRIO’s values, as well as Instituto Reação’s, so I am very excited to be part of this team,” added Flávio Canto.
PRIO’s first film with its ambassador is already on air. Named “The thought is a renewable energy”, the film, created by Monkey-land and narrated by Flavio Canto, explains the interconnection between the Octopus and Tubarão Martelo fields, in the Campos Basin.
