PRIO celebrates 10 years with campaign and actions with a social and environmental impact
PRIO is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an institutional campaign entitled “Much more than oil and gas.” The initiative includes two animated films starring the Chief Executive Octopus, a mascot that alludes to the first field operated by the company. The octopus also illustrates the anniversary logo and has become a mascot, which will appear throughout the year in Out of homes and will be present at events sponsored by PRIO throughout the year, such as SP Arte, one of Brazil’s largest art fairs held at the beginning of April in São Paulo.
“With distribution in online and offline media, the campaign kicks off a series of activities that we will be promoting throughout this year to celebrate our first decade, highlighting that there is much more to come,” reveals Olivia Richardson, Head of Communications and Marketing at PRIO.
Among the new features is a documentary web series presented by journalist Carol Barcellos, who has become an ambassador for the company’s Health and Wellness Program. Production will show how PRIO’s investments in quality of life have a positive impact on employees, including visits to offshore operations. Barcellos joins the PRIO Team, a group of ambassadors that includes former judoka Flavio Canto.
The company is also expanding the activities of the I ❤ PRIO platform, which has already supported over 60 projects. In 2025, PRIO is sponsoring the Gigantes de Nazaré (Nazaré Big Wave Challenge) championship, including the stage in Rio de Janeiro, for which the company has taken on the naming rights, and the Vivendo um Sonho Surf (Living a Surfing Dream) project, aimed at young people from Rocinha, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The company is also preparing to launch its own event, which will combine street running with cultural performances.
With R$ 130 million invested in 77 socio-environmental projects and a reduction of more than 20% in relative carbon emissions, PRIO is reinforcing its sustainability, efficiency, transformation and well-being pillars. The 10th anniversary campaign reflects the company’s position as an agent of transformation and innovation in the oil and gas industry.
