PRIO brings together Instituto Ziraldo and Instituto Vini Jr. to launch a book with previously unpublished illustrations by the artist
On October 24th, the week in which Ziraldo would have turned 92, PRIO supported the launch of the book “Entre Cobras e Lagartos,” the artist’s first posthumous book, produced by Instituto Ziraldo. The event was attended by 60 teachers supported by Instituto Vini Jr., another project sponsored by the company, which, since 2021, has contributed to education in Brazil, strengthening the infrastructure of dozens of public schools.
The book, with text by Guto Lins and unpublished illustrations by Ziraldo, brings together works found in the artist’s collection, who passed away in April 2024. The initiative aims to foster resources and experiences that expand the cultural and critical repertoire of students in the classroom, in addition to reinforcing the legacy of an artist who greatly contributed to Brazilian culture and children’s literature.
“Our goal is not only to make it possible for actions like this to happen, but also to connect institutions, make different initiatives come together, gain strength and multiply. We seek to create this crossover between the projects we support and we are already seeing good results being reaped by the professionals who work in the institutions and by the children and adolescents they serve,” says Anna Luiza Medrado, Sponsorship and Social Projects specialist at PRIO.
During the event, teachers participated in fun activities, storytelling and an autograph session. The chat panel “Ziraldo forever Ziraldo” highlighted the importance of literature in the education of children and adolescents, addressing topics such as citizenship and the environment.
