The closing of the Brazilian Surf Circuit will take place from November 27th to December 2nd

For another year, the ‘marvelous city’ will become the Brazilian capital of surfing, hosting the closing stage of I PRIO Dream Tour Rio de Janeiro, a championship that represents the Main Division of the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBSurf). The stage champions and the 2024 Brazilian champions will be decided during the period from November 27th to December 02nd, with fierce disputes that will define the result of the ranking wave by wave during the heats.

This year’s chosen location in Rio was São Conrado beach, a spot frequented by surfers and which has strong, hollow waves, allowing good conditions for the athletes. In addition, the waves also offer a lot of speed at the junction and possibilities for aerial maneuvers, making for an incredible surfing show.

“The city of Rio de Janeiro is one of the cradles of surfing in Brazil and it is an honor, for yet another year, to be able to hold the Brazilian Circuit closing there. The waves, the atmosphere that breathes sport and the public who are passionate about the sport make Rio a unique setting for crowning the season’s great champions. It has been special to experience the Dream Tour in different places in Brazil and to end this celebration in a place that breathes the surfing lifestyle,” says Luana Cloper, head of the Dream Tour.

In addition to the definitions in the sea, initiatives such as socio-environmental actions will take place on São Conrado beach, as well as the Prio Sessions, the PRIO sunset which also holds the naming rights for the stage. The initiative is part of the company’s sponsorship platform I❤ PRIO, which aims to boost sports, culture and education projects for several audiences.

“Our platform I ❤ PRIO goes far beyond sponsorships and stresses our commitment to giving back to society with several transformative initiatives.  We are very excited to host this last stage of the year in our host city, giving its name to a competition that features the elite of the high-performance sport of surfing and connects so much with our values at PRIO. Sport is part of our DNA and being able to contribute to this legacy, recognizing the athletes’ efforts, their high performance throughout the championship and capping a hugely successful event in the Marvelous City will be incredible,” explains Olivia Richardson, Head of Marketing and Communications at PRIO.

The Dream Tour is presented by PRIO, with Corona Cero and Instituto Aegea as Master Sponsors and Gerdau as a Sponsor.

For further information and updates, follow @dreamtoursurf on Instagram and visit the official website CBSurf.org.br. The competition will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel CBSurfPLAY and will be available on sportv from the semi-finals onwards.

The Dream Tour is organized by the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBSurf) and promoted by Dream Factory, who are together reviving the Main Division of the Brazilian Surfing Circuit through the Federal Government’s Sports Incentive Law, via the Ministry of Sport.
